Because Eee PC uses a special partitioning method, most of the disk space are readonly, so normal updating method is not working well, due to limited spaces, in order to solve this, we need an upgrade disc instead of just a repository.

Those updates includes firefox, thunderbird, pidgin, and all ASUS updates. We also introduce new functions such as bluetooth support, wine, popup display of pidgin and various other improvement on default configuraion of Eee PC.

All the softwares included on the disc are GPL or other open source licenses, mainly come from Debian and some from upstream source.

XFWARE is a distribution of the Xfce desktop environment optimized for Slackware Linux and distributed in its standard tgz package format. The project is mainly born with the purpose to supply a stable, light, simple to use and complete environment, perfectly integrated in Slackware without being intrusive. One important characteristic of Xfware is the inclusion of the main libraries used in GNOME, this in order to supply a base on which a big number of GTK applications can be installed without the necessity to install the entire desktop environment or to compile all the necessary dependencies before being able to install the chosen application. Xfware is distributed under GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE.
