The YASEP is a microprocessor "soft core" that is being written in VHDL. It is a small configurable RISCy architecture (16-bit or 32-bit wide) with orthogonal instructions and 16 registers.

The project revolves around a website that depends on Mozilla's JavaScript engine and is designed for casual interactive use by non-specialists. It contains not only the source code but also the documentation and the tools to design, configure and develop the core, as well as the software running on the YASEP.

The files are shared according to the GNU Affero GPL license. The site hosted by TuxFamily is a miror of http://yasep.org/ which is updated several times a year.

The York College Audio Project, or YCAP, is an open-source network-based audio player for *NIX operating systems. It is written in C using the pthreads API, the sockets API, and the mpg123 API. It will allow client computers to connect to a server computer that hosts music and issue commands to control the server. It is being developed for a senior project at York College of Pennsylvania. The project is free (as in beer and speech) under the GPL license.

Le projet YoctOS (prononcer ioctose) consiste à la création d'un sytème d'exploitation qui sera diffusé sous la GPL. Dans le monde du logiciel libre, les redondances sont légions et plutôt souhaitées. Donc pourquoi créer un nouveau système d'exploitation qui sera sans doute que le E ième. Mais ce projet aura surtous un but éducatif, ce qui n'empêchera pas, bien sûr, si on a les moyens de faire quelque chose de puissant et léger. Pour le moment le développement sera surtous concentré sur la création d'une distrib GNU/Linux pour étudier le fonctionnement global d'un OS, mais quand on aura une distrib stable et qu'une install sera disponible (même si ces éléments sont très simple) on poura développer le noyau.

YOUbuntu is a miniature Ubuntu live CD from which custom Ubuntu derivatives can easily be produced. YOUbuntu is free software released under the GPL license.

Ce projet vient du constat qu'une (trop) grande partie de la population n'est plus en mesure de contrôler les informations qui la concerne et même de contrôler ses idées. Un anéantissement total de la vie privée et du libre arbitre de chacun dû à un abandon total à l'égard de certains réseaux sociaux ou services en ligne qui se servent de nous pour leur profit personnel. Le but de ce projet est d'informer la population le plus simplement, objectivement et clairement possible.

Ce projet est sous la forme d'un site web. à l'heure actuelle il est hébergé via le gitlab de framagit et, sachant que ce service fermera prochainement, nous profitons du fait qu'il n'est pas encore tout à fait lancé (pour le moment aucun référencement n'a été effectué) pour le migrer sur une plateforme stable (d'où notre choix pour tuxfamily de par sa longévité).
