  Pivip aims to aid the internet in improving the semantic web by supporting open standards. Using Pivip, one can easily set up a personal website. This website is used like profile pages on social network sites are used, with the main difference that this is open source (so you can easily add modules and contribute to the development) and considers the whole internet to be a social network, freeing you from vendor lock-in as it happens currently with social networking sites that own your data.

  Pivip is licensed under the GPLv2, with some parts that may be reusable by other projects licensed under the New BSD License. Media is licensed under a CC-BY-SA license (might change to public domain in the future).
