  LICENSE: GPL STATUS: BETA but taking feature requests. DESCRIPTION: A project using QT 4.2 which is a more advanced version of the ManSlide program as seen at http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php ?content=52227 by French programmer Gibault Stéphane. The slide show program allows the user to construct their own animated slide show sequences in OpenGL using QT 4.2. The final slideshow is an MPEG or AVI suitable for inclusion onto a DVD. This project aspires to create a more advanced version of the original program in order to cater to the needs of the more advanced slide show artists and is laid out in order to promote efficient creation and editing of animated sequences that go into the slide show. The project is currently only supporting Linux, but this is only because its the only platform we use. Others can feel free to port to their own platform if they choose. Ultimately, the project will port from QT 4.2 to KDE but there is no current time table on when this will occur. The project does not aspire to take away from the original program as it was designed for simplicity whereas Manslide Plus is designed for the advanced user There is a good relationship with the original programmer and we plan on sharing code between the two projects, maybe one day merge. Too early to tell. The license is GPL because of plans to port to KDE and hopefully be included into KDE at some point. There at this point has been no code released for Manslide Plus, because we are looking for a host to call our home, but are eager to release the code within a few days or a week of having found a home. But the problem now is forcing myself to break away from the C++ compiler long enough to start packaging the sources , end user docs etc, so a positive confirmation from Tuxfamily that Manslide Plus is worthy enough project for them to host will be an incentive to get that part finished in record time.
